No flood damage

Many of you have written to ask about how the Aspen Mountain Cabin survived the heavy rains and floods in Colorado.  Thank you do much for your concerns.  I'm writing to all who have reservations in 2014, or who have been a guest in the past or have inquired to be a guest at the cabin.

We are so grateful to say that there was no damage to the cabin or the property that it's on.  The cabin is on high ground in the mountains.  The entire village of Allenspark survived the rains quite well.  And very important -- there is a major highway that is open and comes to Allenspark from Denver and goes on to Estes Park -- beautiful scenic highway 72.

The towns near rivers farther down in the canyons suffered severe damages and my heart goes out to those who lost so much.  The residents in the mountains have rallied to help each other and there is much generous work taking place to make repairs.

Now that we're into October and after the scare of the floods, rental fees are very low.  If you would like to stay at the csbin between now and February 2014, you can rent it for a remarkable fee of $225 per night for up to eight people.

We would love for you to come back to the magniicent Rockies and stay in the cabin for some restful get-away time.  Just contact me at websterlois@gmail.com.

BIG NEWS: We now have TWO vacation rentals.  The second on is in wonderful Taos New Mexico.  You can see both rentals at our website:  www.coloradorockymountaincabin.com
